Job description
  • Industry/ Organization Type: Logistics & Supply Chain
  • Position Title: Trade Compliance / Permit Declaration Team Lead
  • Working Hours: 5.5 days / 830am-530pm or 11am-8pm (rotating shift)
  • Salary Package: Up to SGD 3800 + AWS + Variable bonus
  • Duration: Permanent
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily TradeNet permit declarations, ACES submissions, report preparation, and customer payment collections
  • Coach and train declaration staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Liaise with Customs, government agencies, and clients on permit issues, exceptions, and rejections
  • Track declaration turnaround to meet service level commitments
  • Maintain complete records and ensure audit compliance
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement process updates
  • Support internal and external audits for permits and compliance
Qualifications
  • Min. Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields
  • Min. 3 years of working experience in permit declaration or trade compliance
  • Customs Competency Test for Declarants certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore TradeNet, the Customs Act, and FTA documentation processes
  • Proficient with TradeNet front-end declaration software and MS Office
  • Familiar with customs documents: COO, invoices, AWB, HS codes
  • Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and GST exemption rules
  • Experience handling permits for restricted/controlled goods
  • Exposure to air cargo or sea freight operations is an advantage
