Job summary

A leading company in the drilling industry seeks a Trader Support role based in Singapore. The candidate will perform trade booking, support portfolio managers, monitor trading activities, ensure compliance, and collaborate closely with traders and back office teams. Job description

Responsibilities

  • To support Trader during US hours in Singapore, on executing US equities and derivatives trade.
  • Trade Booking: Validate trades between Front office input against trade tickers and trading strategies. Ensure accurate and efficient input trade details into the trade management system.
  • Portfolio managers’ Support: Monitoring irregular transactions, late booking or lately amended or cancelled trades without justification
  • Query Resolution: Assist in queries and issues raised by business partners (Front office, Back office, Accounting team and etc.). Assist in amendment or cancellation of booking when it’s required.
  • Risk Management: Monitoring the feeding of electronic executed trades for fail trade. Manage trade-related risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve trade booking efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with traders, portfolio managers, back office to ensure efficient trade settlement throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Reporting: End of Day reconciliation between Front Office blotter and system input. Create and analyse trade reports, such as daily trade summaries and position reports, and provide valuable insights to relevant stakeholders. Maintain complete database on clients’ trading related information e.g. designated traders, trading limits. Monitor market conditions, events and economic releases.
  • Compliance: Ensure all trade activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements, assisting with audits as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a trading role within a hedge fund, private bank, securities, or brokerage.
  • Good understanding of different derivative products.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.
  • Willingness to work late evening to morning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
