Job summary

SMRT Corporation Ltd is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems across the tram and rail network. You will operate engineering vehicles, switch traction power, and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.

The role requires shifting duty rosters, teamwork, and strict adherence to KAIZEN-inspired productivity improvements.

Qualifications

Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with safety procedures and quality guidelines.
Ability to operate engineering vehicles and heavy equipment.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
KAIZEN/5S mindset to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
Operate engineering vehicles and perform related tasks.
Switch on/off traction power and adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain housekeeping and ensure equipment is calibrated and in good condition.
Follow QA procedures as specified in WIs, SWP, and checklists.
Work rotating shifts including weekends/public holidays as required.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisors.
