is seeking a Trackwork Engineer to prepare and review trackwork documents, drawings, and deliverables, ensuring interface adherence and timely delivery while embedding system assurance throughout the design process. The role requires CAD drafting proficiency (MicroStation and AutoCAD), 3D drawing capability, and at least five years in design engineering, preferably on Singapore track work projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Engineering.
• Hands-on CAD drafting experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD (latest versions).
• Capable in the preparation of 3D drawings.
• Minimum 5 years in design engineering, preferably on Singapore track work projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards related to track work and safety regulations.
• Excellent relationship management and communication to achieve consensus.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment and lead CAD drafters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review trackwork documents and drawings for interface adherence and timely delivery.

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure trackwork plants meet contractual requirements.
• Engage with SWC, authorities, and consultants to support quality and timely delivery.
• Contribute to CCSM/SEM layout models and drawings and review drainage details with civil and system contractors.
• Develop track isolation plans for non-operational and operational tracks and reinstatement work after A&A.
• Document and record approved change requests and communicate updates to teams.
• Provide design updates in monthly progress reports and participate in FAT/SIT testing.

Job description

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Trackwork Engineer to prepare and review trackwork documents, drawings, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with established interfaces and industry standards. The ideal candidate will integrate system assurance requirements throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Management:

Prepare and review trackwork documents and drawings to ensure interface adherence and timely delivery.

Compliance Assurance:

Integrate system assurance requirements into proposals to align with industry standards and engineering best practices.

Safety Integration:

Collaborate with appointed DfS professionals to incorporate hazard identification and risk assessment into design development. Participate in hazard identification workshops and ensure implementation of risk mitigation actions.

Supplier Coordination:

Work with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm that trackwork plants for the CR250 line meet contractual requirements and best practices. Review and validate supplier product designs for compliance with project specifications, ensuring suitability and integration with the overall CR250 design.

Project Collaboration:

Engage with SWC, authorities, and consultants to support the project's quality and timely delivery. Assist in resolving site issues and addressing overall project needs.

Drawing Development:

Contribute to CCSM/SEM layout models and drawings, ensuring proper integration with design, construction, and scheduling elements. This includes creating high-level walkway and Conductor Rail layouts, Stray Current Corrosion Control System layouts, and reviewing track drainage details in collaboration with civil and system contractors.

Isolation and Reinstatement Work:

Develop track isolation plans for both non-operational and operational tracks, including reinstatement efforts after A&A works are completed.

Change Management:

Document and record approved change requests, update relevant drawings, and communicate updates to interface and construction teams.

Reporting:

Provide design updates in monthly progress reports and participate in testing and commissioning activities, such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Integration Tests (SIT).

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

• Relevant degree in Engineering;
• Hands-on experience in CAD drafting and expertise in MicroStation and AutoCAD latest versions;
• Capable in the preparation of 3D drawings;
• Proven experience (5 years minimum) in design engineering, preferably in Singapore track work projects;
• Strong knowledge of design standards related to track work and safety regulations;
• Manage relationships efficiently and communicate with others effectively to achieve mutual consensus and outcomes;
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment to contribute to group efforts to achieve identified objectives;
• Lead a team of CAD drafters – efficient and effective deployment and allocation of resources when and where they are needed for the project design delivery. Help them to learn and develop their capabilities to enhance their performance.
