Job description

What to look forward to?

The Claims Executivewill be responsible in investigating, and settling various property, casualty and Workman Injury Compensation claims promptly. You will also have the opportunity to work with established authority on moderate-to-difficult claims, review coverage, determine liability and compensability, secure information, and settle claims utilizing claims best practices.

This role will report to our team in Singapore and may involve additional duties as business needs arise.

Your Responsibilities

  • Process and verify new claims
  • Manage settlement of claims
  • Update client status and policy information
  • Assess claims and negotiation settlement
  • Identify fraudulent claims
  • Adhere to strict service level standards
  • Resolve enquiries from customers and escalate issues or complaints
  • Keep records accurate and up to date
  • Provide quality customer service and handle customers’ enquiries
  • Request financial payments externally
  • Uphold Crawford’s ethics and values

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any field
  • At least 1 year of working experience in handling property and/or casualty claims and workman injury compensation
  • BCILA (Malaysia) and CGI (Singapore) qualifications desirable
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English is compulsory
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin is desirable
  • Knowledge of insurance industry and relevant regulation is ideal, with knowledge of all aspects of the operations such as policy wordings, end-to-end claims administration, claims adjudication and claims registration functions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and demonstrate tact and diplomacy while respecting local cultures and customs.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, enabling accurate analysis of information and problems, and the ability to make sound judgments and timely decisions.
  • Proficient in managing a diverse workload and adapting to the evolving business needs of a customer-centric operation; must be flexible in working shifts as required.
