Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation for the instruments or equipment
• Apply infection control practices and standards
• Plan and manage the care of individual patients during non-invasive and invasive procedures in a safe and competent manner.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and follow through on quality and service issues
• Provide information and education to patients and relatives on the pre and post services and procedures.
• Understand the radiology safety policy and comply with it to ensure the safety of patients and other personnel at all times.
• Assist in identifying and preparing the instruments or equipment required by doctors in the performance of procedures.
• Ensure the safety of patients by applying principles and knowledge of contrast media, considering the contraindications and history of the patient.
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses and conditions during procedures.
• Ensure safe handling and familiarization with all medical equipment to avoid incorrect usage.
• Report to seniors when equipment breaks down or is not working optimally.

Requirements

• Diploma in Medical Technology (Cardiac Technology)
• Candidates with nursing backgrounds are preferred
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (Cath Lab)
• Familiarity with hospital policies, work instructions, and current cardiovascular practices.
