Job summary

UNITED ELITE CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Tower Crane Operator for HDB residential project sites in Singapore.

You will lift and place precast components, formwork and materials, working closely with the lifting supervisor and rigging team to ensure safe, efficient operations. Applicants must hold a MOM-approved Tower Crane Operator certificate and be registered with MOM, with a minimum of 3 years operating towers on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a MOM-approved Tower Crane Operator certificate and be registered with MOM.
• Medical fitness certification for crane operation is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating tower cranes on building construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate the tower crane to lift, move and position precast components, formwork, reinforcement and site materials.
• Work with the lifting supervisor, signalman and riggers using radio and hand signals.
• Monitor load weights, radius and crane stability; refuse lifts outside safe limits.
• Perform pre- and post-operational checks and report defects.
• Maintain cab and crane housekeeping and comply with safety procedures.

About the role

You will operate a tower crane on our HDB residential project sites, lifting and placing precast components and materials safely and efficiently in support of the daily works program.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the tower crane to lift, move and position precast components, formwork, reinforcement and general site materials.
• Work closely with the Lifting Supervisor, signalman and riggers, following hand signals and radio instructions at all times.
• Monitor load weights, radius and crane stability against the load chart; refuse any lift that falls outside safe operating limits.
• Carry out pre-operational and post-operational checks of the crane, and report defects or abnormalities immediately.
• Maintain basic housekeeping of the cab and crane structure.
• Comply with the WSH Act, lifting plans, permit-to-work requirements and all company safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Assist with other duties reasonably assigned by the Lifting Supervisor or Project Manager.

Requirements

Essential

• Valid MOM-approved Tower Crane Operator certificate from an Accredited Training Provider, and registered with MOM as a crane operator.
• Valid medical fitness certification for crane operation.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating tower cranes on building construction sites.
• Comfortable working at height and able to climb to the operator's cab.
• Able to communicate clearly with the lifting team by radio and understand standard hand signals.

Advantageous

• Experience on HDB or precast-heavy residential projects.
• Experience with luffing jib cranes / [specify your crane make and model].
• Valid Rigger and Signalman certification.
