Work location: 15 Joo Koon Circle

Company bus pickup point: Boon Lay, Choa Chu Kang, Joo Koon, Pioneer, Woodlands, Jurong East

Shift pattern: 2-2-3, monthly day/night, 7 to 715

Job Summary

Perform Toolshop activities including but not limited to service & installation of trim dies, mold cleaning and/or chemical cleaning, mold installation on all type of mold presses. In additional, supports the Toolshop department and Manufacturing team activities to achieve the established goals & KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To perform all toolshop activity as follows: Service and installation of trim dies, Mold cleaning as salt bath and/or chemical cleaning. Molds installation on all type of mold presses in West Jurong in a safe and productive way, meeting our products quality requirements.

• Ensure that all trim dies and compression molds are maintained in good condition.

• To resolve technical issues to minimize disruption to production. Execute trouble shooting related to defective products in timely and effectively.

• For trim dies, dismantle and perform full servicing including sharpening, chamfering of die plate, change of parts according to standard procedures.

• To perform mold flatness check, Scissor sharpening, Prepare vacuum spring hose and vacuum strip.

• Provide assisting training to team member (T1).

• Perform strainer cleaning and change of filter for chemical tank and rise & dry tank. Preform de-sludge for salt bath tank. Topping up and draw out of Kolene W10 and Hoeschalin. Perform PM for toolshop equipment.

• Maintain an effective communication between shift in Tier 1. Submit See Do Say and Kaizen suggestion. Ensure proper completion of document and records. At all times adhere to Company rules, regulations and policy.

• Able to safely operate PIT (Power industrial truck).

• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Education

• Preferably with NTC / NITEC in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering.

• 2-5 years relevant job experience in toolshop or machine shop operation.

• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge required (Outlook, Word, Excel); able to write email.

• Able to speak, write, and read basic English.

• Work in a cGMP compliant manner as required by the Company.

• Ensure good 5S and housekeeping are maintained at all times in the work areas.

• Ensure that tools conform to the quality requirements of our customers and meet full customer satisfaction.

• Adhering to process and procedures that apply to the job.

• Ensure all necessary safety features are checked and tested according to the requirements before start operation / hand over process.

• Promptly report any malfunction safety features to superior immediately for corrective action.

• Ensure that company provided gown is worn in production. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where applicable.

• Work safely to not cause unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. Adhering to the processes and procedures that apply to health and safety. Able to always comply with the company’s safety policy.

• Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.

• Support Lean Sigma activities and actively drive waste reduction (7 waste) and quality improvements.

• Basic operation of CNC for chamfering of trim dies or operation of manual drilling machine.

Physical Requirements

Medium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.
