Job summary

Parkinson Society Singapore is seeking a Therapy Support Assistant to assist physiotherapists in supervising members during therapy, social and movement sessions, while helping to manage equipment and member data. You will gradually lead classes and contribute to the well-being of people living with Parkinson and their caregivers.

Role requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• WSQ Certificate in Therapy Support or relevant healthcare certificate.
• Experience caring for Persons with Parkinson or similar role.
• Proficiency in English and another language (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil).
• Ability to converse in local dialects is an added advantage.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft 365 to manage data and communications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
• Service-oriented attitude with a focus on patient care and support.
• Minimum GCE N or O levels educational qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and accurately record blood pressure measurements and other exercise stats.
• Set up therapy equipment to prepare for sessions.
• Assist physiotherapists/instructors in guiding members through exercises safely.
• Monitor members during therapy sessions to ensure safety and well-being.
• Develop skills to independently run therapy classes over time.
• Perform accurate data entry and retrieval to maintain member records.
• Create, file, and maintain an organized members’ database.
• Follow up with members to support ongoing therapy needs.
• Clean therapy equipment regularly and maintain hygiene.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and assist with infection control measures.
• Perform additional duties assigned by physiotherapists/instructors to support therapy delivery.
