A leading therapy services provider in Singapore seeks a dedicated individual to assist in therapy sessions and assessments under the supervision of qualified therapists. Responsibilities include maintaining records, providing personal care assistance to residents, and engaging with other healthcare professionals. Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and preferably have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Provide client care and program
Assists the Occupational Therapist/ Physiotherapist/ Psychologist in carrying out Therapy sessions for the residents (individual/group) under the supervision of therapist
Assists in the assessment of the residents by providing feedback on the performance of the residents to the therapist
Prepare the residents, environment and equipment for assessment or therapy
Ensure proper documentation & record of residents' condition, progress and care therapy
Maintain up to date records of on individual resident's attendance and update progress notes on resident's performance and status on a daily basis
Provide supervision or assistance to residents during meal times.
Provide personal care assistance to residents in their daily living such as toileting, bathing, dressing and grooming and ensure the residents good personal hygiene at all times if necessary
Maintain order, safety and cleanliness of the care environment
Maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy areas and workplace
Cleans resource materials and therapy room (general cleaning daily and thorough cleaning once a month).
Ensure equipment is maintained in a clean and working condition
Develops teaching materials as assigned by therapist
Manage care operations
Provide input to operations review meetings
Participate in case management for Residents
Works as a team with other staff (e.g. nursing aides, PT trainers and OT trainers) in the daily routine of the residents) (i.e. PE and feeding etc.
Perform stakeholder engagement
Assist in liaising with other professionals, nursing team, volunteers, hospital and stakeholders involved in the case to facilitate provision of care services for clients if necessary
Provide client perspectives and needs in development of care plans with professionals and other stakeholders
Maintenance and updated documents for MSF licensing.
Any ad-hoc duties assigned by your Reporting Officer
Qualifications
Diploma in therapy service or equivalent
WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) / NITEC in Therapy Services or equivalent.
Other Information
Preferably 1-year relevant working experience
Computer literacy skills - MS Word and PowerPoint.
Experience working with persons with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred
