Job summary

Metta Welfare Association’s Metta Day Rehabilitation Centre in Tampines invites a dedicated Therapy Aide to support physiotherapy and occupational therapy plans under qualified therapists. You will assist clients during therapy sessions, help with transfers, and keep records to ensure safe, quality care.

This role requires basic education, a caring attitude, and the ability to communicate in English plus a local language.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education; WSQ Certificate or NITEC in Therapy Services is an advantage.
• Prior experience in eldercare, therapy, or healthcare support preferred.
• Physically fit to assist with client mobility and transfers.
• Able to communicate in English and at least one local language/dialect.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physiotherapy care plans under the guidance of the Physiotherapist.
• Carry out occupational therapy care plans under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist clients during therapy sessions, including lifting and transfers when needed.
• Monitor clients’ conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly.
• Record and document therapy sessions daily.
• Handle and maintain rehabilitative equipment, reporting any faults as necessary.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients to perform therapies.
• Accompany and support clients during outdoor activities and centre events.
• Assist in Metta’s fundraising activities and events as required.

About Us

Metta Day Rehabilitation Centre (MDRC) provides rehabilitation services for seniors recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or physical injury. Our goal is to help clients regain independence and improve their quality of life in a safe, caring, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm
• Occasionally required to work on weekends for CSR events or centre activities (off in lieu or overtime pay provided)
