Job Description

• Work closely with Meeting Planners and Hotel staff to provide accurate primary and secondary data for event planning.
• Collaborate with DOEM / ADEM to ensure bookings are in place and that all Sales Managers optimize space and revenue through daily line-up and review of tentative business.
• Attend Pre-Event Management Meetings (Resume and BEO meetings) to align operations across departments for upcoming events.
• Assist in ensuring the monthly banquet revenue forecast is complete and accurate.
• Understand hotel financials (Revenue, P&L, Pace) and work with Sales & Catering Teams to meet financial goals.
• Stay informed about competitive hotels and maintain relationships with industry counterparts to benchmark and share best practices.
• Achieve or exceed individual and departmental goals.
• Manage room blocks effectively by maintaining communication with Meeting Planners for accurate forecasting.
• Understand Event Management processes to ensure seamless handling of all groups.
• Assist with special projects and action plans as needed.
• Review and discuss group profiles and contracts with relevant sales teams.
• Contact clients or meeting planners to introduce services and follow up with correspondence.
• Customize sales approaches to meet client needs and maximize sales opportunities.
• Have knowledge of food and beverage programs to tailor them to client requirements.
• Distribute all BEOs and group resumes at least 10 days prior to group arrivals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Attend mandatory BEO/Resume meetings when groups are in-house and follow up on any changes or requests.
