Job summary

THAMBI TEXTILES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a creative Textile Designer to draft original patterns, prints, and weaves for upcoming collections.

You will use CAD tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Style3D) to develop repeat patterns and 3D simulations, study trends, and ensure designs meet quality standards. Collaborate with production teams and clients to realise concepts, matching brand briefs and maintaining color and texture integrity.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud; knowledge of 3D software where applicable.
• Strong eye for color, composition and texture.
• Knowledge of dyeing, printing, weaving, and textile properties.
• Able to present designs and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design Development: Create original patterns, prints, and weaves for textiles.
• Technical Design: Use CAD tools to create repeat patterns, colorways, and 3D simulations.
• Trend Research: Analyze fashion and interior design trends for future collections.
• Material & Production Knowledge: Select fabrics and collaborate with production teams to ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Sampling: Produce or oversee prototypes and samples.
• Collaboration: Liaise with clients, stylists, and manufacturers to align with brand briefs.
