A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Test Engineering Lead to oversee a team of senior engineers. The role involves developing innovative testing solutions and collaborating with automation teams to enhance testing frameworks. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in software testing and strong leadership skills.
Position Overview
Our Test Engineering Services (TES) team is on a journey to constantly transform its services by exploiting state-of-the-art technologies, industry trends, best practices, and tools. Test Excellence and Consulting Hub (TECH) unit at TES is where expertise meets innovation. We provide subject matter expertise, consultation, and governance across projects and programs, offering best-in-class guidance on test frameworks, processes, and tools.
The incumbent will be required to understand, drive, and lead a team of senior test engineers to develop reliable, cost-effective, and customised solutions to its stakeholders for both projects and programs. In addition, this role requires close collaboration with TES’ Automation and Performance Engineering units to look for and expand automated and performance testing footprint. Success in this role requires you to be a self-starter who initiates actions and follow-up to get results; you must be conscientious with consistent attention to details and work under your own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work.
Role & Responsibilities
Strong testing and technical skills (test frameworks, test planning, designing, reporting, systems development methodology, delivery methodologies, performance engineering methodology, automation frameworks)
Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for testability, test cases and use cases and perform web, API, UI, functional, exploratory, load, performance, and end-to-end testing by leveraging test automation wherever possible and feasible
Design, create and maintain automated test frameworks for front and back-end systems/applications and improve existing test automation frameworks
Demonstrated experience in evaluating, recommending, configuring, and setting up various test tools and frameworks
Firsthand experience and expertise with at least one tool set each from test management, test automation and performance testing. Knowledge of various other tool sets across test management, test automation and performance testing tools like Azure DevOps/TFS/Visual Studio Test Professional, ALM, JIRA, LoadRunner Enterprise/LoadRunner, JMeter, UFT, TOSCA, Selenium, Katalon, etc
Understanding of DevOps and integration of test automation into Continuous Delivery pipelines
Understanding of various procurement processes like RFI/RFQ/RFP/Contract Management and how to run them independently
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer scienceor other relevant courses
12+ years of in-depth software testing experience working on large and complex projects as a test lead/test manager/senior test specialist
More than 8 years of experience in leading and executing testing in various test phases including functional testing and non-functional testing for large scale delivery
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with facilitation and people management skills
Powerful sense of responsibility and urgency, resourceful, good analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred:
Training and certifications in software testing, project management, and delivery methodologies is an added advantage
Experience in Healthcare domain is an added advantage
