Job summary

DSO National Laboratories (DSO) is Singapore’s leading defence R&D organisation. This role supports the maintenance and operation of a testing facility within the Guided Systems Division, requiring strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and CAD tools.

Candidate must hold a Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, with ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical setups, plus proficiency in MS Word/Excel and drawings interpretation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering required.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good communication to convey technical needs to contractors.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with CAD software and reading drawings.
• Knowledge of pumps, actuators, valves, compressors and safety.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• Possess knowledge and trouble-shooting ability of mechanical and electrical system
• Possess good communication skill in conveying technical requirements to contractors
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Words and Excel
• Proficient in using CAD softwares
• Possess functional knowledge in electro-mechanical systems
• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics and mechanical parts)
• Proficient in reading electrical drawings
• Possess functional knowledge of pumps, actuators, valves, compressors and limit switches
• Possess strong sense of safety awarenessExhibit strong willingness to learn and contribute
• Possess basic knowledge in AC/DC circuits, power distribution, grounding principles, sensors, actuators and contact relays
• Familiar with mechanical assemblies with electrical systems
