Job summary

HRNET VENTURES PTE. LTD. invites a Test Engineering Technician to join a server and hardware testing environment in Singapore, with a structured training phase and a 4-day work week after training.

You will gain hands-on exposure to server testing, rack configurations, Linux/DOS, and test systems while developing skills in test procedures and troubleshooting. Initial training runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, followed by rotating 12-hour day/night shifts and Sundays off.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or above in a technical field such as CS/Engineering.
• 2–4 years in testing or manufacturing; more if without a degree.
• Experience in server, rack or hardware testing is advantageous.
• Familiar with Linux/DOS and basic electrical concepts.
• Able to read Python or similar scripts; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Understand Test Process Instructions and train testers on procedures.
• Support operators and resolve queries during production testing.
• Create and maintain Golden Images for servers and ensure test DB accuracy.
• Develop rack test templates based on BOM and Engineering Instructions.
• Coordinate with software teams to deploy rack configurations into test systems.
• Set up DB entries for new hardware components and troubleshoot issues.
• Raise technical tickets and escalate complex issues to engineers or supervisors.
• Maintain training documentation and assist with audits.

Salary & Shift Allowances

Basic Salary: $3,500 – $4,800/month

Allowances when allocated to shifts:

• 12-Hour Day Shift: $12 per workday
• 12-Hour Night Shift: $24 per workday
• Meal & Transport Allowance: $16 per workday

Working Hours

First 3 Months – Training

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

After Training

Weekly rotating 12-hour Day & Night Shifts

• Day: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Every Sunday OFF

4-Day Work Week

Choose one shift team:

• Team A: Monday – Thursday
• Team B: Friday, Saturday, Monday & Tuesday
• Team C: Wednesday – Saturday

What You'll Be Doing

• Understand Test Process Instructions (TPI) and train production testers on test procedures
• Support operators and resolve queries during production testing
• Create and maintain Golden Images (GI) for servers and ensure test database accuracy
• Develop rack test templates based on BOM and Engineering Instructions
• Coordinate with software teams to deploy rack configurations into test systems
• Set up database entries for new hardware components such as switches and power shelves
• Perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production test issues
• Raise technical tickets and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution
• Escalate complex technical issues to engineers or supervisors
• Maintain training documentation and records for audit requirements
• Guide and provide technical training to junior technicians when required
• Support production readiness to facilitate timely shipment

What We're Looking For

• Associate Degree/Diploma or above in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Around 2–4 years of relevant testing or manufacturing experience
• Candidates without a relevant degree may be considered with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in server, rack or hardware testing is advantageous
• Basic knowledge of Linux / DOS
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts
• Good computer hardware troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of network hardware troubleshooting
• Able to read and understand Python or other programming scripts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced production environment
