RESPONSIBILITIES

This role covers Software (SW) / Firmware (FW) / Test program management to enable success of SW/FW implementation for Commercial Notebook platforms.

• In SW/FW Program Management, this role leads the end-to-end on-time delivery of software, firmware, BIOS, drivers, and application solutions. This role drives cross-functional alignment (SW, FW, Test), and is responsible for SW/FW milestones execution from qualification through end of service.

• For Test Program Management specific tasks, this role is responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of validation test activities across SW/FW system-level testing. This role bridges engineering, quality assurance, ODMs, and program stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality product validation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and manage overall Quarterly Refresh software/firmware deliverables (SW, SW Drivers, BIOS, EC, HW Drivers), SCIT Validation, and release schedules leading to timely Web Softpaq publication and RTM release to factories.
• Ensure alignment with System Team and cross-functional teams across SW/FW/Test solution readiness.
• Manages and maintain relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on Software applications, firmware design and Tests development.
• Specifies and documents workflows, engagement models and objectives in partnership with HP other WW Software and Firmware teams and ODMs.
• Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders and executives.
• Identify areas of risks and improvements to drive solutions to drive business value or reduce business impact.
• Responsible for reviewing and consolidating validation data. While QA teams generate test reports, TPMs interpret and communicate readiness status to stakeholders.
• Support efforts to triage and prioritize 3LS issues, DCRs, and OBS cases.
• Collaborate with quality leads and regional teams to reduce backlog and improve issue resolution efficiency.
• TPMs define and uphold validation governance structures, including escalation paths and meeting cadences. They ensure that validation intricacies are managed by TPMs and not dictated externally, preserving process integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in software/firmware development role
• Minimum 1 years of work experience in project/program managemet related role
• Experience in overall architecture of software/firmware and interaction with hardware/software/OS designs for products and solutions
• Experience in processes for software/firmware testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
• Experience in CI/CD and Agile or other program management know-how and in high complexity programs application.
• PMP certificate or Agile Certificate is an added advantage
