• Plan, develop and implement testing procedures for products across development and manufacturing.
• Specify tests, compile data and suggest changes to testing equipment and processes.
• Oversee selection and development of testing personnel for efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing of customer samples and ensure compliance with GLP/GMP/GCP where applicable.
• Lead and mentor the test engineering team for project delivery and readiness.

Test Engineering Mgmt

"Test Engineering Mgmt: Manages the planning, development, and implementation of procedures for the testing and evaluation of standard and special devices for all phases of product development and/or manufacturing. Specifies tests to be performed, compiles data, and makes recommendations for changes required in testing equipment procedures, manufacturing processes, new testing requirements and/or design of testing equipment. Recommends the purchase of test equipment. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Survey Tips: Employees whose primary responsibility is for production test should be matched to Production Test Mgmt (1251-1256). For those companies in the Medical Devices Industry, the position must ensure that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices (GLP), good manufacturing practices (GMP) and/or good clinical practices (GCP). May be responsible for overseeing the testing of customer samples."
