A leading technology company seeks a motivated engineer to perform functional testing on SSDs, analyze failures, and maintain lab standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer/Electrical Engineering and familiarity with systems assembly and debugging. Join a dynamic team to contribute to continuous firmware health monitoring and validation processes.
Responsibilities:
Perform functional testing on SSD through execution of tests (both automated and manual)
Perform initial failure analysis and work with Validation engineers to resolve test failures
Modification of functional test scripts to achieve targeted test coverage
Perform debug and evaluation towards resolution of issues with Firmware engineers.
Participate in setting up of test environment and servers in preparation for validation.
Tabulate test results and generate report for continuous firmware health monitoring.
Lab management
Maintain 6S standard inside lab.
Do black box testing of SSD on different laptop and desktop systems
Setting up of test environment and systems in preparation for validation
Update test plan and communicate project status on a regular basis
Qualifications and Skills:
Undergraduate in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Experience with OS installation, assembly and debug of laptop/desktop systems would be an advantage
Experience with using Oscilloscope and Bus Analyzer will be beneficial
Basic working knowledge with Windows and/or Linux OS like Ubuntu
Comfortable working in an ESD-protected lab environment
Programing knowledge on Python or C++ is an added advantage
Knowledge on SSD will be beneficial
Complete execution of validation find-fix cycles – Continuous running Deliverable
Performance of first pass failure analysis – Continuous running Deliverable
Conduct debug and evaluations towards issue resolution – Continuous running Deliverable
