Mission
In the context of project, software or configuration developments, you work on the implementation of test strategies. You oversight the delivery chain and provide visibility on the progress & issues that affects the testing timeline, managing the entire defect lifecycle, in order to guarantee the conformity of the development with the technical and functional specifications as well as with the quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, performance, system integration, and user acceptance testing for card products and related systems.
- Validate all stages of the customer and card lifecycle, including card issuance, transaction types, fraud checks, chargebacks, statements, rewards, and account closure.
- Conduct detailed testing around ISO8583 messaging and related transaction flows.
- Perform certification testing with major schemes (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX).
- Handle customer defect triage, resolution, and communication.
- Collaborate with development, business, and QA teams to align on test scope and defect management.
- Manage and execute test cases using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Utilize SQL/PL SQL for backend validations and data-driven testing.
- Work with simulators and tools such as VISA/Mastercard/AMEX simulators, SoapUI/REST API, and Unix environments.
- Contribute to reporting and documentation for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Support client onboarding, training, and go-live readiness as needed.
Skills
Must-Have Skills:
- Deep domain knowledge in Card Issuing (VISA, MCI, AMEX)
- Strong understanding of customer boarding, card lifecycle, fees, collections, fraud management, rewards, and reporting
- Hands-on experience with ISO8583 transactions, multi-currency, DCC, and account structures
- Cards Personalization including CHIP Tags, Track data, PIN management, and authorization flows
- Familiarity with Credit, Debit, and Prepaid card products
- Proven experience with certification testing for VISA/MCI/AMEX
- Experience in SQL, PL SQL, JIRA, Confluence, SoapUI/REST API, Unix
- Strong communication, customer interaction, and defect management skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of PowerCARD or any cards platform
- Understanding of acquiring and switch systems
- ISTQB Certification
- Knowledge of programming languages and development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in the Payments industry with a focus on the Cards domain
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel to customer locations (domestic and international)
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including weekends, if needed
