Job summary

Helius Technologies is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to design comprehensive test strategies for web and mobile banking apps and translate requirements into test cases. You will establish robust automation within the defined framework and ensure traceability across projects.

You will execute tests, maintain artifacts in JIRA, contribute to daily standups, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver fixes and improve quality through ongoing learning and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year testing experience in web and mobile banking applications preferred.
• Strong analytic skills to derive end-to-end test scenarios.
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and testing life cycle (manual and automated).
• Hands-on experience with JBehave in an Agile project.
• Understanding Java and VBScript is advantageous.
• Experience with QA processes and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Good stakeholder engagement with strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to work independently with minimum guidance under pressure.
• Solid SDLC knowledge and ability to manage multiple projects.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• -Design comprehensive test strategies and scenarios as per acceptance criteria, translate them into advanced JB standard for scripting. Coverage include but not limited to UI, functional, error scenarios, security baseline, regression and negative cases etc.
• -Develop reusable test assets and steps that are aligned with business requirements and ensure traceability between requirements and coverage.
• -Develop and maintain automation using defined framework coding standards and ensure coverage is extended across applicable web or mobile platforms.
• -Execute test cases with quality and ensure traceability of test artifacts into JIRA, drive defect management with timely closure with RCA with technology partners to support continuous learning.
• -Ensure JIRA hygiene is maintained to support reusability, consistency, and audit compliance.
• -Support test management daily report, participate in daily stand-up, drive defects closure, demo and related clarification ceremonies.
• -Track downtime and maintain regression pack to add delta and eliminate NA cases.
• -Document live verification test scenarios coverage, review automated scripting for live verification, training materials to share product and service knowledge.
• -Participate in live implementation and post-production issues from investigation, testing and deployment of fixes.
• -Integrate efficiency into the assigned tasks with adoption of tools - JIRA assistance, QA tooling enablement on the internal SharePoint site and continuous feedback to PO and team for best practices learning.

Requirements:

• -Minimum 1 years working experience, preferably in web and mobile application testing in the banking industry is preferred.
• -Strong analytic skills to process complex requirement to come up with end to end scenarios and test cases.
• -Familiar with Agile and waterfall methodology, and understand the life cycle of testing in both automated and manual testing.
• -Have experience in running or being part of an agile project team in banking industry and have had hands on experience on JBehave.
• -Understanding Java and VB Scripting will be an advantage.
• -Experience with Quality assurance processes and tools like JIRA and confluence is a must.
• -Good stakeholder engagement skills with strong verbal and written communication is required as will need to collaborate closely across multiple teams during project execution.
• -Good team player with strong organizational skills and can work independently with minimum guidance.
• -Must have resilience and the ability to work well under pressure with minimum guidance.
• -Quick learner, adaptable to changes on project needs and good team player who take initiative to help team to complete assigned task.
• -Strong working knowledge of SDLC practices and procedures.
• -Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and projects.
