ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the governance for strategic and overall direction of the organization including the development of strategic policies to achieve its goals as follows:
Chair and guide for the Territorial Governance Board which is accountable for the professional management of the territory.
Provide spiritual direction to officers (pastors), give pastoral care and guidance and help them to develop their potential.
Participate in platform ministry, in both leading meetings and preaching according to the doctrines of The Salvation Army.
Explore and evaluate new models and programmes appropriate to the needs and potentials of the communities served, keeping in focus the particular needs of communities, and potential financial resources.
Appoint and ensure appropriate placement of officers for the benefit of the appointment, officer and their families, and the mission of The Salvation Army.
