Duke-NUS Medical School seeks tenure track faculty at various levels in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders Programme. Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS), Singapore’s only graduate-entry medical school, was established as a landmark collaboration between two world-ranking institutions of higher education – Duke University and National University of Singapore. Duke-NUS provides innovative education and impactful research to enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond. The School also has strong research ties with Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), one of Singapore’s major healthcare providers, other major research institutions in Singapore, and with Duke University.
The Programme in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CVMD) is one of the Signature Research Programmes in Duke-NUS. The overarching aim of the Programme is to define the molecular mechanisms underlying human health and disease and to discover new approaches to prevent, diagnose and treat cardio-metabolic illnesses. CVMD is seeking to fill multiple tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. We are looking for candidates with an exceptional track record of research excellence and innovation, along with demonstrated leadership in managing a productive research team. Successful applicants will be expected to secure external research funding, mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and actively contribute to Duke-NUS’ core missions of teaching and research excellence. Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. Priority will be given to applicants with expertise in areas such as cellular and systemic metabolism, metabolomics/lipidomics, renal and cardiovascular biology and medicine, and integrative data sciences, including systems genetics and related fields.
