Job description
Overview
  • Lead the preparation and submission of coal tender documentation for government and private sector bids in key APAC markets, particularly China, India, and Southeast Asia.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (trading, legal, finance, and operations) to ensure all coal tender proposals meet compliance and quality standards.
  • Review and analyze tender documents to ensure that all requirements, terms, and conditions are fully understood and addressed.
  • Prepare accurate and compelling technical and commercial bids for coal supply agreements and related contracts.
  • Secondary involvement in nickel and other commodity tenders, ensuring that submissions are consistent with market requirements and company standards.
  • Maintain an organized database of previous tender documents, proposals, and feedback to improve future submissions.
  • Monitor industry developments and stay updated on coal, nickel, and bulk commodity tender opportunities across the region.
  • Follow up on tender results and participate in post-bid debriefs to gather feedback and improve future submissions.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in International Trade, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in tender documentation and submissions, with a primary focus on coal tenders (preferably in the energy or commodities sectors).
  • Familiarity with coal, nickel, and bulk commodity industries in the APAC region (China, India, ASEAN markets).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tender processes and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Hindi is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management tools.
  • Knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping and contractual documentation is an advantage.
