Qualifications

• Experience in tender preparation for civil engineering projects.
• Strong cost estimation and budgeting ability.
• Ability to coordinate across QS, Engineering, Procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tender preparation and submission activities for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions to determine scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Procurement and other teams to gather technical and commercial information.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, project budgets, pricing schedules, and tender quotations.
• Verify Bills of Quantities and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Identify commercial risks and contractual obligations during tender preparation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for clarifications and pricing information.
• Track tender progress and ensure submissions meet deadlines.
• Evaluate tender costs and feasibility and provide recommendations to management.

The role requires effective coordination across departments, sound commercial judgement, and careful management of tender requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tender preparation and submission activities for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions to determine project scope and submission requirements.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Procurement, and other relevant teams to obtain technical and commercial information.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, project budgets, pricing schedules, and tender quotations.
• Verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Identify commercial risks, contractual obligations, and potential cost implications during tender preparation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain clarifications and relevant pricing information.
• Track tender progress, coordinate internal reviews, and ensure submissions comply with stipulated requirements and deadlines.
• Evaluate tender costs and commercial feasibility and submit recommendations to management.
• Maintain accurate tender documentation, cost records, and pricing databases.
• Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and the handover of awarded projects to the relevant project team.
