Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Legal Advisor for a 7-month temporary contract. The role involves drafting legislations, providing legal advice on various laws, and supporting corporate legal matters. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Law and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with corporate law experience. This position offers an opportunity to engage with senior management and contribute significantly to the organization's legal affairs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law with qualification to practice in Singapore or other Commonwealth jurisdictions.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (POE).
• Experience in corporate/generic contract law is advantageous.

Department: Legal Service Office
Employment Type: Temporary (Monthly Rated)
Duration: 7 Months (Estimated Start Date: July 2025 – End Date: January 2026)

Responsibilities:

• Working with senior management to develop and implement policies and actions

• Drafting of regulatory instruments such as legislations and subsidiary legislations under the purview of by the organization

• Providing legal advice and interpretation with respect to various legislations administered by by the organization as well as all other laws of Singapore as required by the organization in the discharge of its duties and functions

• Drafting, reviewing and providing sound legal advise on a broad range of legal issues

• Drafting, vetting and advising on general corporate and contractual matters, e.g tender documents/ MOUS, commercial documents

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline and to be called to the Singapore Bar (or other commonwealth jurisdictions)

• At least 5 years post qualifications experience (POE)

• Corporate work experience (especially in contract law) would be an advantage
