Job summary

About the Role

Maintain a functional building and provide a safe and pleasant environment for staff, workers, visitors and other individuals. The role requires working closely with the building maintenance team and stakeholders to respond and resolve to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.

  • Handles and carries out necessary maintenance repairs to building fabrics and services.

  • Installs equipment and appliances.

  • Quality preventative and predictive maintenance practices to be consistently executed effectively.

  • Complies with all company safety regulations and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

  • Executes all work assigned and deliver in a timely manner.

  • Documents facilities maintenance requirements: maintains appropriate records of work performed. Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.

  • Reports work related issues to the facility manager.

  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.

  • Collaborates and monitors to ensure the proper, complete and safe work executions of contractors as needed.

  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions from facility engineers and managers.

  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

  • Performs shift work to provide continuous service support and attend to miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required

  • NITEC certification in technical discipline or minimum 2 years of technical working experience

  • Certification in building maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical or Facility Technology (Plumbing, Airconditioning and Refrigeration)

  • Other certification - Work at Height, Occupational First Aid and Category 3A lifting platform equipment operation.
