Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Temenos T24 Security Consultant with 5–8 years of relevant experience to manage, configure, and support security controls within the Temenos T24 (Temenos Transact) core banking platform.

The successful candidate will work closely with core banking, application support, infrastructure, and information security teams to ensure secure access, effective user administration, and compliance with banking security standards.

This role offers an opportunity to work on business-critical core banking systems, strengthen application security controls, and contribute to secure banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain security settings within the Temenos T24/Transact core banking platform.
• Manage user accounts, roles, access rights, and security permissions in accordance with approved access control policies.
• Configure and maintain T24 security components, including USER, USER.SMS.GROUP, and related security and access control configurations.
• Implement and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.
• Support user provisioning, modification, deactivation, and periodic access reviews.
• Configure and troubleshoot access permissions for T24 applications, functions, enquiries, versions, and banking operations.
• Investigate and resolve T24 security-related incidents, access issues, and authorisation errors.
• Review security configurations and identify potential access control gaps or vulnerabilities.
• Support security assessments, internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance activities.
• Work with application development and functional teams to implement appropriate security controls for new T24 functionalities and enhancements.
• Support T24 upgrades, patches, releases, and security configuration changes.
• Perform security testing, access validation, and post-deployment verification.
• Maintain security configuration documentation, access control matrices, operational procedures, and audit records.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and core banking teams to strengthen application security and governance.
• Recommend improvements to T24 security administration, access management, and operational processes.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Temenos T24/Transact, core banking application support, or banking application security.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of the Temenos T24 Security module and its security administration functions.
• Experience configuring and managing T24 users, security groups, roles, and access permissions.
• Understanding of T24 security components such as USER, USER.SMS.GROUP, and application-level access controls.
• Experience with user access management, authentication, authorisation, and security configuration.
• Good understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), segregation of duties, and access governance.
• Experience troubleshooting T24 access issues, security incidents, and permission‑related errors.
• Knowledge of core banking operations and application security requirements.
• Experience supporting T24 configuration changes, testing, and production deployments.
• Understanding of banking security controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with technical, functional, cybersecurity, and banking operations teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Temenos Transact (T24) R18 or later releases.
• Familiarity with T24 technical architecture, application configuration, and integration components.
• Experience supporting T24 implementations, upgrades, or migration projects.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Knowledge of security monitoring, audit logging, and access certification processes.
• Experience working in banking or regulated financial services environments.
• Familiarity with T24 development tools, jBASE, or InfoBasic.
• Understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.
