Job description

  • Salary: $3,500 - $8,000 + 14 - 15 Days AL + Bonus

  • 5 Working Days, 9am - 6pm

  • Changi South (Between Tanah Merah / Simei / Expo MRT)

  • Video Production Service in Singapore

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in broadcast television.

  2. Preferably with direct experience of working in an Outside & Outdoor Broadcast environment.

  3. Familiar with the operation and programming of Routers, Switchers, Tally Systems, Multiviewers, etc.

  4. Familiar with the setup and integration of cameras, lenses, CCUs, etc.

  5. Experience with EVS equipment including LSM, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director.

  6. An understanding of radio, television, and the associated transmission and carrier systems.

  7. Understanding of computers, servers, IT systems, and networks.

  8. A keen interest in broadcast technology, its development, and application in the region.

  9. Knowledge of Cisco Switches and IP technology is an advantage.

Job Scopes:

  • To assist the Engineering Team (both at Base and on Project site) in providing technical support services.

  • To be competent to set up, configure, operate, and maintain a wide variety of electronic equipment involved in outside broadcasting production, including, but not limited to HD Video, UHD Video, Audio, and Communication Equipment.

  • To be competent in the use of Radio Frequency Equipment and antenna systems that interface with various broadcast systems for signals delivery.

  • To troubleshoot broadcasting equipment and identify faults to a system level, and communicate and report to the office and manufacturer for problem-solving.

  • To undertake project work from site surveys to delivery in a professional and timely manner.

  • Ensure all equipment is updated with the manufacturer’s latest software releases.

  • To maintain technical equipment and systems to the required safety and technical standards with minimum disruption to operational activities.

  • Prepare an Engineering Book for each project with relevant technical information and ensure relevant parties receive it before the project.

  • Ensure that the broadcast equipment and systems are running at the Project site.

  • In the absence of the Unit Manager, liaise with the client and ensure that the client's needs are taken care of and communicate them with the Support Team.

  • Conduct testing of video equipment after the project. Report any faults which were not addressed onsite using the Fault Report Form.

  • Test the video equipment which was reported as faulty onsite.

  • Support the Unit Manager in preparation of technical reports and crew reports of the project.

  • To be willing to learn and practice the new technologies used by NEP that have not been experienced or worked with before.

  • To direct, instruct, and manage assistant engineers and possible system integrators on projects.

  • To work safely at all times, complying with statutory safety requirements on all Health and Safety Policies.

  • To draft technical reports of field work.

  • To be competent in reading and designing the engineering workflow.

  • Prepare technical documents for the preparation of projects and amend as necessary throughout the life of the project.

  • Attend technical meetings for the projects when necessary.

  • To be flexible with work time and travel.
