Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineering Service Manager to oversee the delivery of high quality telecom services and manage engineering teams in Singapore. This role focuses on ensuring seamless service operations, driving customer satisfaction, and leading the implementation of advanced telecom solutions (e.g., 5G, IoT, fiber optics). You will collaborate with cross functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align service delivery with business goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Service Delivery & Operations Management
    Lead end to end service delivery for telecom projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    Monitor network performance and service level agreements (SLAs), resolving escalated technical issues to minimize downtime.
    Oversee maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of telecom infrastructure (e.g., core networks, wireless systems, cloud based platforms).
  2. Team Leadership
    Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    Coordinate with cross departmental teams (e.g., sales, product, customer support) to align service strategies with organizational objectives.
  3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
    Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing service inquiries and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
    Collaborate with telecom operators, vendors (e.g., Cisco, Ericsson), and partners to streamline service workflows and resolve complex technical challenges.
  4. Compliance & Risk Management
    Ensure compliance with Singapore’s regulatory frameworks (e.g., IMDA guidelines) and industry standards.
    Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for service disruptions or security vulnerabilities.
  5. Innovation & Strategy
    Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., network virtualization, AI driven network management) to enhance service efficiency.
    Develop long term service roadmaps, including capacity planning and resource allocation for scalable growth.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or Agile methodologies are preferred.

Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years in telecom engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record in managing large scale telecom projects (e.g., 5G deployment, fiber network expansion).
Experience in vendor management and cross regional collaboration.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in telecom protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, SIP) and network architectures (SDN, NFV).
Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or network automation platforms.
Knowledge of Singapore’s telecom ecosystem and IMDA regulations.

Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision making abilities.
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is advantageous.
Customer centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service experiences.
