You will assess risk exposure from cloud, platform changes, and outsourcing, and lead governance discussions with technology, compliance, and assurance teams to strengthen controls and resilience.

Qualificações

We are partnering with a leading financial institution to hire a Technology Risk Manager based in Singapore. As a Technology Risk Manager, you will provide an independent perspective on how technology and cyber risks are understood, controlled, and reported, helping senior stakeholders make informed decisions across a complex enterprise environment.

This Technology Risk Manager opportunity sits within the second line of defence and combines technical understanding with risk judgement. You will engage with technology and security leaders to evaluate control effectiveness, challenge risk assessments, and strengthen accountability for addressing material exposures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk-based assessments of technology services and security capabilities, identifying where weaknesses could affect business operations, sensitive information, or service continuity.

• Challenge the evidence behind risk ratings, control assessments, and corrective-action plans, ensuring management decisions reflect the organisation’s agreed risk boundaries.

• Evaluate the risk implications of platform changes, cloud adoption, supplier dependencies, and recovery arrangements, highlighting gaps that require additional safeguards.

• Examine significant technology incidents and recurring control failures, testing whether underlying causes are understood and proposed improvements address the wider exposure.

• Present clear risk insights to senior stakeholders and governance forums, while working with business, technology, compliance, and assurance colleagues to improve risk standards and coordinate review coverage.
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience in technology risk management, information security risk, technology assurance, or IT audit, including leadership responsibilities within a large or regulated organisation.

• Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, and cyber security, with the ability to distinguish credible controls from approaches that leave material risk unresolved.

• Practical experience assessing access security, vulnerability management, infrastructure maintenance, and recovery capabilities, and technology service-provider arrangements.

• Familiarity with recognised technology risk and security frameworks, alongside relevant financial-sector expectations for outsourcing, continuity, and cyber resilience; qualifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge senior technical specialists and explain business consequences to non-technical decision-makers.
