What the role is:
The Technology Lead will spearhead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of technology strategy and solutions that enable smart, connected, and user-friendly sports facilities. This role requires a blend of IT leadership, innovation, and operational expertise to ensure seamless integration of advanced technologies -including IoT, data analytics, digital services, and user experience platforms - that enhance facility operations and visitor engagement/experience.
What you will be working on:
Key Responsibilities:• Lead the end-to-end technology strategy, aligning tech solutions with business goals and the vision of a fully integrated smart sports environment.• Oversee the deployment and management of IoT devices, sensors, and automation systems that monitor and optimize facility operations.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (facilities management, sports coaching, customer service) to design user-centric digital platforms and apps enhancing booking systems, visitor experience, and real-time analytics.• Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and partners to procure, integrate, and maintain hardware and software solutions.• Drive the continuous improvement of IT service delivery, focusing on system reliability, uptime, and rapid issue resolution to support operations.• Be acutely aware of emerging technologies and industry trends in sports technology and smart facilities to recommend innovation opportunities.• Develop and maintain tech budgets, forecasts, and procurement plans aligned with strategic priorities.

This individual should preferably be a sport advocate who leads an active lifestyle and wants to be involved in facilitating opportunities for more people to Live Better through Sport.The ideal candidate should possess the following:Qualifications and Experience:• Relevant background with at least 15 years of experience in tech related roles, preferably with exposure to technological advancements, smart buildings, IoT, or sports facility technology, Business, Sports Management, or related field.• Strong understanding of IoT architectures, network infrastructure, and data analytics platforms.• Experience managing multi-vendor technology environments and complex integrations.• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection laws.• Proven track record in project management and technology implementations.• Familiarity with user experience design and digital platform development for consumer-facing applications is an advantage.• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Key Competencies:• Strategic technology planning• Innovation and problem-solving• Team leadership and development• Vendor and stakeholder collaboration• Customer and user-focused mindset• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-evolving tech environmentOnly shortlisted applicants will be notified.The level of offer will be commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records.
