Job summary

1100 Micron SemiAsiaOP Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional to join our chemistry team in Singapore. The role involves adhering to safety protocols, operating in clean-room fab and chemical lab settings, and following SOPs to analyze routine samples for internal customers.

You will work with instruments like ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, GC/LC‑MS, and perform sample prep such as digestion, extraction and dilution. Shifts may include 12‑hour days with night rotation.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; related fields accepted.
  • Diploma graduates or 1–2 years' experience welcomed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to troubleshoot basic problems and identify root causes.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and willingness to take added responsibilities.
  • Teamwork with effective collaboration.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Theoretical/operational knowledge of analytical equipment (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC/LC-MS, titration, pH, conductivity).

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety procedures in the Laboratory.
  • Work in clean-room fab and chemical lab environments.
  • Follow SOP to analyze routine samples and report to internal customers.
  • Utilize analytical techniques and instruments like chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, and particle sizing.
  • Prepare samples, standards and reagents (VPD, extraction, digestion, dilution).
  • Monitor and sustain equipment and perform preventative maintenance on tools.
  • Collaborate with area engineers to troubleshoot analytical and equipment issues.
  • Participate in TPM activities (6S, housekeeping, stock reagents and parts).
  • Update Chemistry Laboratory Manager on tool/area issues.
  • Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts and rotate day/night shifts.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the Laboratory.
  • Work in a clean‑room Fab facility and Chemical Laboratory environment.
  • Follow the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to analyze routine samples and report to internal customer.
  • Use analytical techniques and instrumentation such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titration, particle sizing, volume measurement and weight measurement.
  • Perform sample, standard and reagent preparation, such as vapor phase deposition (VPD), extraction, digestion and series dilution.
  • Monitor and sustain equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned tools.
  • Collaborate with area engineers to troubleshoot analytical issues and equipment issues.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, including 6S audit, housekeeping, and maintaining stock of reagents, standards, spare parts and consumables.
  • Keep the Chemistry Laboratory Manager updated on tool and area issues.
  • Be flexible to work 12‑hour shifts and rotate day/night shifts as needed.
Education
  • Diploma in Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical/Material/Biomedical Science or Environmental Science/Eng is preferred or related field of study.
  • Fresh diploma graduates or 1–2 years of working experience.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and address root causes.
  • Solid multi‑tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive problem–solving ability.
  • Ability to flexibly assume added responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills with a strong focus on effective team dynamics.
  • Theoretical and/or operational knowledge of analytical equipment, such as ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, GC/LC‑MS, titration, LPC, assay, pH and conductivity, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
