Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a Technician (E&I) to be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing equipment modifications and introducing solutions for efficiency improvements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of lean methodologies, will be advantageous in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical/Food/Petrochemical/Chemical/Nutritional industry or equivalent.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and calibration of manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to manage contractors, vendors, and service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair services of electrical & Instrument manufacturing systems.
  • Evaluates, selects and orders equipment for manufacturing processes.
  • Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitors, repairs and maintains production equipment for continuous production.
  • Provides instrument and/or electrical repair.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance, data management, project support, control support and ISO audits support.
  • Studies equipment performance and reliability to propose solutions.
  • Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Responsible for equipment and instrumentation calibration and maintenance.
  • Executes work orders and records job performed via MAXIMO system.
  • Assists in writing Job Aids and support Engineer in SOP writing.
  • Leads and takes part in continuous improvement efforts/projects.

Technician (E&I)

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair services of electrical & Instrument manufacturing systems.
  • Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
  • Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitors, repairs and maintains production equipment to ensure continuous production.
  • Provides instrument and/ or electrical repair.
  • Responsible for repair, preventative maintenance, data management, project support, control support and ISO audits support.
  • Studies equipment performance and reliability.
  • Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Responsible for equipment and instrumentation calibration and maintenance (corrective, preventive, predictive) of plant manufacturing and warehouse equipment in comply with the Site Safety and GMP procedures.
  • Responsible for execution of work order and record job performed via MAXIMO system.
  • Assist for writing Job Aids and support Engineer in SOP writing, CCA or ER investigation.
  • Manage and lead contractor, vendors and service providers to perform maintenance works.
  • Lead and take part in continuous improvement efforts/ projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical/ Food/ Petrochemical/ Chemical/ Nutritional or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge on lean six sigma, kaizen and Kanban is an advantage.

Education:

ITC/ NITEC/ Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation or related discipline or GCE "N/ O/ A" Level with more than 3 years of experience.
