Job summary

RTX in Singapore is seeking a skilled welder to refurbish aircraft engine components, performing TIG and plasma welding to meet exacting quality standards. You will support the cell operations in benching, blasting, brazing, blending and polishing, with opportunities to train on new automation machines and participate in CORE improvement activities.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience in TIG welding and Plasma Welding.
• Comfortable to learn new welding methodology.
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and SOPs.
• Meticulous with an eye for detail and hands-on approach.
• Willing to work on rotating/permanent shifts (Day & Night) and overtime as needed.

Job description

What You Will Do

• Perform TIG welding to refurbish aircraft engine components to meet quality standards.
• Support the cell operations in benching, blasting, brazing, blending, polishing and cold working processes.
• Potential to be trained on operating new Automation Machines.
• Attend EH&S training programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

• GCE ’O’ Level or NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical or relevant disciplines.
• 1 year relevant experience in TIG welding and Plasma Welding.
• Comfortable to learn new welding methodology.
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Willing to work on rotating/Permanent shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Familiar with the relevant air worthiness and regulatory agencies requirements.
• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
• Attended external trainings with welding certification.
