Key Responsibilities
- Work proactively to solve problems with yield or quality impact on our products through development of measurement recipes that can provide quick and accurate feedback on product integrity.
- Apply advanced analytics techniques to identify and address deviations in machinery and processes.
- Engage in designing experiments to identify defect sources and formation mechanisms, providing insights for defectivity improvement projects.
- Collaborate with engineers from diverse departments to contribute ideas and assist in implementing breakthrough solutions for defectivity improvement.
- Apply the latest innovative inspection tools for defect detection, contributing to advancements in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Set up tool qualification criteria and implement monitoring through Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
- Set appropriate control chart limits and utilize effective sampling for proactive intervention against machinery and process deviations.
- Implement sampling methodologies to proactively detect and address deviations, ensuring efficient and effective root cause identification.
- Collaborate with Engineering Operations and/or Application teams to optimize tool maintenance schedules and utilization.
- Contribute to strategic projects aimed at minimizing products at risk and improving overall product quality.
- Develop and run projects crafted to enhance inline detection, improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce tool measurement variability and improve machine availability.
- Partner with the tool suppliers and owners to explore innovative ways of doing things to overcome the challenge of the shrinking technology nodes.
- Support Fab through data analysis, providing knowledgeable summations of results and recommendations on how to proceed with process changes, equipment availability improvements and cost reduction work.
- Ensure engineering team is trained on recipe maintenance, tool recovery, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for the assigned tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required.
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
- Capable of working on a flexible schedule (e.g. compress shift).
- Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
