Job summary

Kuok Group Singapore is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to assist the CMO in daily mall operations and ensure M&E services run at optimal levels. The role covers inspection, reporting, tenant support, and coordination of contractor works to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

The ideal candidate will have a background in building services with a technical mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in facility maintenance in a shopping mall.
• NITEC certificate in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical / Air-Conditioning or related disciplines.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of building and M&E systems to identify malfunctions.
• Report breakdowns, irregularities, defects and maintenance activities.
• Attend tenants' feedback and service requests; ensure timely assistance.
• Troubleshoot and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Perform routine repairs and rectify issues promptly.
• Escort and supervise contractors during servicing and repairs.
• Address operational issues promptly with minimal disruption.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Summary

Assist CMO for the efficient management of day-to-day mall operational activities and ensure that the M&E services of the building are in optimal operational level.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily routine inspection on the building and M&E systems such as electrical, lighting, chiller control, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, pumps, fire protection, BMS and plumbing/sanitary, etc. to identify malfunction.
• To report on breakdowns, irregularities, defects, maintenance activities and record stock inventories.
• To attend to Tenants' feedback, complaints and service requests and ensure service assistance is rendered to the Tenants timely.
• Performs troubleshooting and attend to equipment breakdown calls.
• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs and rectification works promptly.
• Escort, supervise and monitor contractors in routine servicing and emergency repair works.
• Attend all operational issues and emergency situations promptly and rectify with minimal disruption or inconvenience
• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Key Requirements

• Preferably 3 years' experience of relevant experience in Facility Maintenance in a shopping mall environment.
• Possess experience in painting, masonry, carpentry, and ironmongery works would be advantageous.
• NITEC certificate in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical / Air-Conditioning or related disciplines.
• Required to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays. Non-standard hours: 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm / 11pm-7am
• Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical / Air-Conditioning trained
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and a good team player
• Takes ownership and accountability, motivating others and show proactive behaviour
• Understand and respond to customers'/tenants' needs
