Job description

As a Technician (MTD), you will set up and maintain equipment, provide first-line support for breakdowns, and ensure proper and safe use of machinery. You will perform scheduled maintenance, report faults, and ensure faulty equipment is not used. Additionally, you'll assist with trial runs and provide training to production operatives on work instructions.

What you will do

• Set up equipment machinery, as stipulated in the relevant maintenance procedures/work instructions
• Provide first-line support in the event of equipment or machinery breakdowns or malfunctions
• Ensure correct and safe use of equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, and prevent the use of faulty or out-of-calibration machinery.
• Report and record any breakdowns or incorrect functioning of equipment/machinery to the relevant parties within the organization, which may include the IT department
• Provide assistance in performing trial-runs and processes related issues
• Conduct internal training for production operatives for production work instructions.

What you bring

Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Additional technical certifications or vocational training in electronics or SMT preferred
• Prior experience as a Production Technician in medical device manufacturing with SMT expertise

Personal competencies

• Strong SMT skills, including equipment operation and maintenance.
• Attention to detail for quality control and compliance with standards.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot issues.
• Safety-conscious with good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to adapt to changing demands and contribute to process improvements.
