Job description

• Various life‑saving appliances and fire‑fighting appliances must be installed, inspected, maintained, and repaired aboard ships while adhering to SOLAS and class rules.
• In accordance with manufacturer instructions and legal requirements, perform routine testing and inspections of lifeboats, liferafts, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and other firefighting apparatus.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, finding and fixing technical problems quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain and certify LSA/FFA equipment annually while following safety regulations and industry best practices.
• For the sake of regulatory compliance, keep thorough records of all maintenance operations, inspections, and repairs.
• Work together with marine engineers, ship workers, and other interested parties to guarantee the safe and dependable operation of firefighting and life‑saving systems aboard ships.

Qualifications

• Four years or more of experience working in the maritime sector as an LSA/FFA Technician or a comparable position.
• Competent knowledge of SOLAS norms, class regulations, and other pertinent maritime standards.
• Exceptional technical abilities and practical expertise installing, maintaining, and repairing lifeboats, liferafts, fire extinguishers, and related gear.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills, including the ability to quickly identify and fix equipment issues.
• Meticulous with an emphasis on precision and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
