Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore is hiring a maintenance technician to support manufacturing operations, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for production. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and monitor equipment while providing shift support.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, strict SOP adherence, and collaboration with engineers to meet production targets, while upholding EHSS standards.

Qualifications

• - Diploma or diploma-equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Microelectronics required.
• - 0–2 years’ experience in Electrical/Electronics industry or equivalent.
• - Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift duties.
• - Strong teamwork and safety mindset.
• - Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and carry out CAS per specification.
• Maintain and service production equipment and tools.
• Perform 12-hour shift duties to support production in the Module.
• Carry out preventive maintenance per PM schedule.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist engineers with installation and upgrading of equipment.
• Use SPACE to monitor SPC charts and follow CAS rules.
• Utilize measurement instruments for data collection.
• Maintain housekeeping on the production floor and maintenance areas.
• Observe EHSS policies and safely handle tools and equipment.
• Accurately pass down line issues and document checklists.
• Support wafer scrap reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with Specialists to improve efficiency and meet objectives.

Introduction

Responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring production equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable, and production-ready condition. This role performs preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, and shift support activities to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing efficiency. The incumbent will work closely with Engineers and Specialists to support production objectives while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Your Job

• Follow SOP and carry out CAS per specification
• Execute good maintenance of support tool
• Perform shift duties (12-hours shift) to support the running of production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production
• Execute in-depth preventive maintenance (PM) as per PM schedule and specifications
• Troubleshoot basic equipment related issues and minimize equipment downtime
• Assist Engineer in the installation and hook up of new or upgrading equipment
• Know how to use SPACE to monitor SPC charts. Understand all the PR rules and follow CAS correctly.
• Know how to use measurement instruments effectively in data collection.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production floor / sub-fab / office and maintenance support areas
• Ensure and follow good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module
• Provide proper and accurate passed down of line issues and documentation (fill up and file the checklists)
• Wafer scrap reduction awareness
• Coordinate with Specialists to ensure efficiency of work to meet Mfg and Module objectives.
• Responsible and accountable for complying with and implementing environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) system, policies, procedures and guidelines that are applicable to your scope of work, thereby maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.

Required Qualifications

• Nitec / Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Microelectronics Engineering
• 0-2 years working experience in Electrical / Electronics industry
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift duties.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong logical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Flexible and willing to support overtime when required.
• Self-motivated, meticulous, and disciplined with a commitment to quality and safety.
