Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Singapore is seeking an onsite Technician to perform inspection, composite and mechanical repair and assembly on aircraft structural components. You will learn to document defects, perform repairs, part forming, replacement, and final inspection to ensure serviceability.

The role requires a Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, strong blueprint literacy, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering is required or equivalent.
  • Understanding of blue prints, repair instructions and sketches; CAAS papers are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and document defects in Inspection Repair Records.
  • Perform mechanical repair, part forming, replacement, assembly and final inspection of aircraft structural components.
  • Follow repair schemes, routing, and ensure safety with proper PPE and 5S in the workshop.

Responsibilities

The Technician will perform inspection, composite & mechanical repair & assembly work of aircraft structural component. They will learn to perform the following:

  • Inspect and document defects accurately in Inspection Repair Records (IRR)
  • Mechanical Repair
  • Part Forming
  • Part Replacement Work
  • Assembly and Disassembly Work
  • Final inspect completed repair task, ensuring it is serviceable and ready for release to service

They will also be responsible for:

  • Using Alignment Jig / ASMJ for Repair Work
  • Carrying out repair work according to repair scheme / routing
  • Clear routing upon job completion
  • Produce good quality repair work
  • Ensure understanding of personal PPE and a safe environment with 5S on workshop
Requirements
  • Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Understanding of blue prints, repair instructions & sketches Possess CAAS A12, B11 & L11/L12 papers would be advantageous Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • A team player with a positive working attitude and keen interest to learn
