Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is recruiting an Evacuation Slide Aerospace Technician in Singapore. The role involves parts assembly, testing, and handling dangerous goods in a dynamic, safety‑driven environment.

You will work in a team to meet production schedules, follow CMM and packing instructions, and adhere to AS9110C/Part 145 quality and environmental safety standards. Training is provided for aviation experience newcomers.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and understanding English required.
• Good communication skills in English; able to work in a technical environment.
• Able to perform physical tasks and handle dexterous assembly work.
• Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems preferred.
• Experience with aviation-related packing or assembly is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform work at cell level to meet the production schedule.
• Inspect and assemble all sub-component parts and perform final testing per CMM.
• Adhere to safety procedures when handling dangerous goods.
• Fold and pack inflatable components per CMM and packing instructions.
• Resolve issues promptly; ensure repair cost estimates are updated.
• Collaborate with supervisor and support staff to resolve problems.
• Adhere to AS9110C / Part 145 QMS requirements.
• Understand use of torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, bore and depth gauges.
• Comply with EH&S policies and regulations.
• Comply with US and Singapore Export Control Regulations.
• Participate in process improvement and EH&S activities.

As an Evacuation Slide Aerospace Technician, you will be expected to perform parts assembly, handle dangerous goods components, fold, pack and test inflatable in accordance with the component maintenance manual requirements. Technicians will work in a dynamic and physical demanding work environment and in a team setting to meet the high demand of quality, safety, and output requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work at cell level to meet the production schedule.

• Inspect and assemble all sub-component parts and perform final testing in accordance with CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) requirement.

• Adhere strictly to the safety procedures and requirements when handling dangerous goods.

• Perform folding and packing of inflatable in accordance with CMM and Packing Instructions requirements.

• Promptly resolve issues and ensure all repair cost estimates are updated accurately.

• Work in close cooperation with the supervisor and other support personnel to resolve problems when necessary.

• Adhere to Quality Management System (e.g. AS9110C / Airworthiness Part 145 requirement)

• Understand the use of common measuring equipment like torque wrench, calipers, micrometers, bore and depth gauges.

• Comply with all Environment, Health & Safety policies, and regulations

• Complies with all US and Singapore Export Control Regulations

• Actively participate in process improvement and environmental, health and safety activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE "O" Level, ITE/ NITEC in the field of mechanical, mechatronic, or other engineering discipline or equivalent experience

• Personnel with similar experience in slide packing would have added advantage

• Ability to read, write and understand English

• Ability to read and work from technical and service manuals, technical orders, sales orders, specification, drawings, and other written instructions

• Computer literacy (Knowledge in SAP will be preferred)

• Good communication skills needed, both oral and written

• Able and willing to carry out physical activities work

• Ability to understand knots tying and fabric folding methods or concepts.
