Job summary

A leading company in gas production and supply is seeking a technician to manage production, maintenance, and quality control in a safe environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology with relevant experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include filling vessels, conducting quality checks, and managing inventory to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Higher NITEC education in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vessel filling and conduct necessary inspections before and after filling.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks and manage inventory for production needs.
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

Production

  • Perform filling for vessels such as Cylinders, Pallets and Tube Trailers.
  • Conduct all necessary work (Inspection, Vacuuming, Venting, etc) before and after filling.
  • Accurately update filling records and production reports.

Maintenance

  • Perform corrective & preventive maintenance of equipment within the Plant.
  • Work with management team to implement preventive maintenance and schedule calibration of plant equipment.

Inventory Control

  • Manage raw material stock to ensure optimum stock for operation and meet customer demand. To trigger resupply If level is low.
  • Prepare and generate inventory reports to ensure inventory accuracy.

Quality

  • To conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials as well as outgoing products to ensure quality compliance.
  • Able to handle analysis tools or equipment such as GCs or Analyzer.

Safety

  • Able to adhere to company safety policies and standards i.e. wearing of PPE, Company Safety rules and regulations etc,
  • Able to perform duty on weekends and public holidays as and when required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum Higher NITEC education in Chemical Process Technology or its equivalent in science discipline.
  • At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
