UCT is looking for a talented Technician to join us in Singapore!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform product functional/system test and leak test, identify errors, and conduct rework if required.
• Ensure full and efficient pass down to the next shift.
• Escalate any unresolved problems or abnormalities for resolution.
• Highlight any problems or abnormalities on the production floor.
• Perform housekeeping, adhere to manufacturing discipline, and cleanroom protocol.
• Support other ad-hoc activities and tasks assigned by the superior.
• Initiate ideas to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Report and assist engineers in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Train and guide newcomers (Buddy System).
• Analyze any problems or abnormalities on the production floor.
• Support engineering tasks assigned by the superior/manufacturing engineer.
• Diagnose modules and system errors and problems.
• Perform system endurance tests.
• Manage and cooperate with QA on any quality issues.
• Demonstrate ability to perform Test Tech Technical Specialist roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer literacy.
• A role model and good teamwork.
• Possess hands-on experience in equipment manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Competent in analytical problem-solving and statistical tools.
• Ability to work in a systematic manner and withstand occasional workload and schedule pressure.
• Independent, self-driven, and able to work with less supervision.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Professional Certificate or its equivalent.
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Engineering.

Experience Requirement:

• Able to comprehend electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Willing to commit to the shift pattern and overtime if required.
• Able to carry heavy loads (up to 20Kg).
• Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment: wearing jumpsuits, safety helmets, and safety shoes.
• Must be willing to work shift work.
• Responsible, self-motivated, committed, and possess good interpersonal skills.

Work Experience:

• At least 3 years relevant experience in the manufacturing/engineering industry.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Work Environment: Clean room.

Work Hours: 08:30am – 05:30pm / 08:30pm – 05:30am.

Physical Demands: Able to carry some weight (up to 20kg) – due to the need to push the machines or carry material parts to the station.

Environmental Exposure: Capital equipment manufacturing with sophisticated system integration and testing.
