Job summary

KNIGHT FRANK PROPERTY & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of their buildings. The role involves hands-on repairs, daily safety checks, and monitoring mechanical and electrical systems.

A candidate with at least 1 year of building maintenance experience and an NITEC in Building Services, or similar, is required. The company offers a collaborative environment with lots of opportunities for growth and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general building repairs including electrical and plumbing.
• Conduct routine checks for electrical safety hazards.
• Assist in executing scheduled and on-demand maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) readings.
• Assist in overseeing maintenance work conducted by external contractors.

About The Role

As a Building Maintenance Technician at Knight Frank Strata Management business unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings and estates. Reporting to the Site Head, you will perform a variety of technical tasks such as hands-on repairs, routine safety checks and preventive maintenance, to keep the facilities at optimal condition. We are seeking a proactive team player with relevant experience in building maintenance.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Hands-On Repairs: Perform a variety of general building repairs, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and painting. Read and interpret technical diagrams, including electrical and plumbing drawings and site plans.
• Daily Safety Checks: Conduct routine checks for electrical safety hazards, water ponding, and collaborate with security personnel to maintain site safety.
• Preventive and Ad-Hoc Maintenance: Assist in executing both scheduled and on-demand maintenance tasks to keep facilities in optimal condition.
• Monitoring M&E Systems: Maintain accurate records of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) readings and monitor the performance of systems and equipment.
• Supervision of Contractors: Assist in overseeing maintenance and servicing work conducted by external contractors, reporting any irregularities or concerns to the site manager.

What We’re Looking For Someone Who’s:

• At least 1 year relevant working experience in building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of building, mechanical & electrical systems.
• Able to communicate and interact with people and a good team player.
• Minimum NITEC in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
