A leading technology firm in Singapore seeks a Technical Writer to produce user-friendly manuals and documentation. The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and requires a background in Computer Engineering or related fields. Applicants should have significant experience in technical writing tools and methodologies.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Communicate and collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the requirements.
Structure complex information into an organized and logical format
Convey complicated ideas into simple instructions for international users
Apply topic-based authoring and content architecture techniques to produce easy–to-use manuals
Manage and use budgeted time and resources to produce expected results without delays
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, Computing (Software Engineering), Computer Science
Diploma holders with relevant technical writing work experience will also be considered
At least 3 years’ experience in writing technical documents or manuals for software or related products
Experience in authoring and publishing content for external customers
Experience in using more than one of the following tools:
Adobe Acrobat
XML authoring tools, including but not limited to Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML and XMetaL Author
Enterprise
JIRA
Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Visio)
Experience in using a content management system
