The technical training specialist conducts formal training sessions to in‑house and customer personnel at home office & customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
- Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
- Review and ensure training materials are updated regularly by the Asian trainers.
- Provide necessary technical guidance to Asian trainers on product training.
- Conducts K&S equipment training for both internal and external customers on or off site as required using classroom or e-learning methodology.
- Research, develop and write technical training courses using classroom or e‑learning methodology on new and current K&S equipment and update course related materials.
- Maintain complete records for each presented course for general validation and updating to measure student progress and database records.
- Oversees all instructional equipment, supplies and materials to ensure availability and working condition.
- Undertakes and develops customized training assignments to meet special needs of customers as required.
- Improve training services and quality targeted at total customer satisfaction through review of trainees’ feedback.
- Reviews/ensures training materials are updated regularly by the Asian trainers.
- Provides necessary technical guidance to Asian trainers on product training.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions or changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Typically 3 or more years of working experience in semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge in wire/die bonding technologies with training experience is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint macros being advantageous.
- Able to work and solve problems independently without much supervision and guidance.
- Able to show confidence during work, problem solving and communication with others.
- Keen to learn and show enthusiasm in taking new challenges and responsibilities when being assigned.
- Must be customer-oriented and able to fulfill any customers’ training requests/needs that will directly or indirectly affect their decision of continuous business relationship with the company.
- Maintain good relationships with all staff in the organization and customers. Able to seek other organizational support/help when needed.
