Technical Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Understand and review the bid documents. Support the Sales department in the RFQ process, preparation of technical BOM quotation.
2. Ensure sourced components are supported through close collaboration with Procurement from a technical perspective.
3. Design and develop Junction Boxes, Power Distribution Boards, Control Panels, and other Bartec products for Hazardous Areas.
4. Prepare GA, SLD, and schematic diagrams when required.
5. Ensure BOM list is complete and correct on GAD drawings and in the ERP System.
6. Ensure design is in accordance with Bartec standards.
7. Supervise works, conduct quality inspections, and maintain quality records and documents as per ISO standards.
8. Prepare for and attend client inspections and testing requirements/FAT of the job in hand when required.
9. Work closely with the document controller to prepare, compile, and submit project documentation.
10. Coordinate work with other disciplines, offices, and project team members.
11. Visit project sites as required.
12. Perform other ad-hoc duties deemed fit and necessary by the company.
13. Ensure BOM is prepared in line with the company’s quality procedures with clear information/details.
14. Prepare technical offers including deviations, clarifications, and important notes.
15. Attend to client technical queries during the project execution phase.
16. Ensure that the company’s interests are maintained within the project while fostering a positive client relationship.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
2. Good fundamentals of Electrical Safety and Area Classification.
3. Good knowledge of Explosion Proof and Flame Proof, IP protection Class.
4. Good knowledge of Electrical Instruments and Protection Systems.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP, etc.
6. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and other related industrial plants.
