A leading recruitment firm in Singapore seeks a Technical Support professional to provide analytical and technical support within the polymers industry. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience. Key responsibilities include supporting commercial teams, conducting failure analysis, and maintaining quality standards in line with ISO 17025. The role offers a competitive salary up to $3,800 and additional benefits.
Company : Japanese MNC established in 1931 in polymer, plastics and injection molding manufacturing, petrochemical industry.
Working Hour / Location : 8.30am to 5.15pm (Mon - Fri) / Jurong Island (transport pickup to and fro at Jurong East & Outram Park, MRT station)
Remunerations : Up to $3,800 basic + $350 island and transport reimburse, monthly fixed allowance

Involves providing hands-on support for internal commercial teams, production, and R&D, while ensuring the highest quality standards in line with ISO 17025.
To provide comprehensive technical support to the commercial team through technical data analysis, competitor grade comparison, and troubleshooting for both pre-sales and after-sales activities, while collaborating with global teams to standardize testing methods, conduct evaluations, and perform benchmarking tests as required.
Perform failure analysis, benchmark testing, and both destructive and non-destructive testing to identify physical defects in materials or products.
Support production and logistics teams in production-related tasks and incoming/in-process quality operations.
Assist R&D Team with benchmark testing and development of new analytical methods based on customer requirements.
Execute standard laboratory procedures, maintain proper documentation, and ensure accurate recording of experimental data.
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), and coordinate with vendors for technical issues.
Manage laboratory inventory, including consumables and spare parts.
Participate as an ISO 17025 committee member to maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure tests are conducted according to ISO standards.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any related discipline.
At least 3 years’ relevant working experience and strong knowledge of polymers and plastics.

Familiarity with injection molding technology and analytical techniques.
Hands-on experience with FT-IR, SEM, DSC, TGA, or other analytical instruments is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills for pre- and post-sales technical support.
Knowledge or experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001 (ISO 14K, 9K, 50K) is an advantage.
Knowledge of Python is an advantage.
Proficient in MS, especially Excel and PowerPoint; ability to prepare technical charts, reports, and presentations will be an advantage.
