Qualifications

Job Description

    ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:

    • Translates product, customer and application knowledge into product selection and/or use recommendations that improve product performance and provide increased value to the customer.
    • Provides technical expertise and product applications training to the customer and internal departments.
    • Creates product application presentations and documentation. Provide product demonstrations, arranging seminars and visits with Sales and Product managers, and other support personnel for resolving problematic situations with customers.
    • Assists Sustaining Engineering in the analysis of product failures, the generation of the related failure reports and communication of failure analysis and recommendations to the customer.
    • Assists in engineering specification and design in support of customer needs and customized projects.
    • Participates in overall product strategy and identification of customer requirements for current, new and emerging products.
    • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, supply chain, and operations to develop and provide product definitions that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
    • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer requirements.
    • Participates in key sales situations for the product. Support Sales in technical agreement.
    • Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze operational and technical information for the product line.
    • Will be attending tradeshows and assisting in assembling/dismantling exhibits.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    • In charge of lab management and lab equipments. Sample/technical testing based on customer’s request.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety.
    • Provides status reports to management as required.
    • Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering, 7-8 years related analytical instrument experience (preferably experience with AC Analytical Controls instruments) in laboratory from Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical Industry.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years prior hands-on/operating experience with Gas Chromatography Lab Instruments. Demonstrated ability to assist and teach customers in technical areas.
    • Solid presentation skills including the ability to explain complex technologies and product features.
    • Ability to calculate pressure differentials.
    • Prefer technical writing ability with emphasis on consultative selling approach.
    • Prefer understanding of various standards (ATSM, EN, API, CSA, ANSI, etc.)
    • Good understanding of Organic Chemistry and computer knowledge required for position.
    • Ability to successfully interact with customers
    • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office products.
    • Good oral, written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communications skills in the English language.
